Access to the Locations API is granted to a use case rather than a particular person, team, or department. That means:
- Each use case should have its own app registration in the Developer Portal
- You don’t need to file a new request when you add or remove members from the group who’ll be working directly with the integration
- You do need to file a new request when you have an idea for a new use, or if your use case changes significantly from the original
Each app registered in the Developer Portal has its own quota limitations (1000 requests per minute by default). As long as you register and get approval for each use case as its own app, one use case going over its quota won’t cause disruptions for other applications.
Never reuse existing credentials for a different use case. This may result in your credentials being revoked.
